| Personal Trainer Curriculum |
|
Our comprehensive, state approved 300 hour program is to train students in the art and science of Personal Training. Personal Trainers require knowledge and expertise in the areas of exercise and fitness, anatomy and physiology, weight management, and healthy lifestyles. A Personal Trainer’s role is to advise clients on appropriate and proper exercise techniques, weight loss/gain and weight maintenance options, and how to adopt healthier lifestyles. The knowledge and skills acquired by SETS students will enable them to design and implement safe and effective training programs specific to each client, which includes exercise, fitness and nutritional consultation.
You will be exposed to both 180 hours of extensive classroom lectures,
as well as 120 hours of practical, hands-on instruction in our own
fitness center, under the supervision of our experienced staff.
Following successful completion of the SETS program you’ll be awarded a Diploma as a Personal Trainer, and you’ll be certified in both CPR, AED and First Aid!
SETS prepares you for the national certification examination through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The NSCA’s credentials will really set you apart in the fitness industry.
